Self-checkout. What is this? I’m at the grocery store, I’m buying my groceries, and suddenly I’m an employee? I’m scanning, I’m bagging, I’m troubleshooting the ‘unexpected item in the bagging area.’ Unexpected? I *just* put it there! Is it unexpected to *you*? You know what’s unexpected? Me doing your job! And then, after I’ve done all this work, it asks me for a tip. A tip! For the machine! Or for the store? For *me*? I should be tipping *myself*! For the exceptional service I just provided to… myself!
