Voicemails. Are they still a thing? You call someone, they don’t answer, and then you’re hit with that robotic, ‘Please leave a message.’ For what? If it was important, I’d text you. If it was *really* important, I’d probably just call back later. But a voicemail? It’s like sending a carrier pigeon in the age of email. And then you have to listen to *your own voice* on the playback. Oh, that’s a whole other can of worms. No one likes the sound of their own recorded voice, it’s like hearing a stranger attempting to impersonate you, poorly. It’s a relic, a digital dinosaur. Just text me back! Or don’t!
