Online reviews. What a world. A restaurant can have amazing food, great service, but one person gives it one star because ‘the ice in my water melted too fast.’ Melted too fast? It’s ice! It’s supposed to melt! And then the pressure. ‘Please leave a review!’ It’s not enough to just enjoy something anymore. You have to quantify your enjoyment. It’s like they’re collecting data on your happiness. And what if I had a perfectly adequate experience? Is ‘perfectly adequate’ a five-star review or a three-star? The stakes are too high!
