You ever notice how some lines, they’re not really lines? It’s more of an… amorphous blob. A cluster. Everyone’s just sort of vaguely facing the same direction, but there’s no actual physical demarcation. So then, who’s next? Is it the person who got there first, or the person who assertively stepped forward? It’s a gamble! You risk cutting someone off, or worse, letting someone cut *you* off. It’s a societal contract, Jerry, this line business! It’s supposed to be clear! First come, first served. Not first come, first… vaguely stand around until someone makes a move. What’s the etiquette here? Is there a designated ‘line monitor’ I’m missing?
